What is your assignment?
With reliable solutions, innovative technology and excellent service tesa supports industry partners in optimizing their processes and improving their products. Your mission: as the expert in the field of tape solutions for the markets that supply the Building Industry, you are the interface between the different market units/countries and IHQ for Western Europe in Amsterdam.
You will actively coach and guide local sales teams towards new opportunities and help them achieve their strategic objectives and business targets. In a nutshell, you are responsible for the strategic growth and innovation of a well-known brand in the European Building Industry market!
How do you achieve this?
You are responsible for developing and implementing the market strategy for the market segment Building Industry. You conceptualize the regional market strategy based on the business unit strategy and in accordance with the market needs. You are curious, full of ideas and creative. Focusing on the Western European region, you ‘own’ your market, you know the facts & figures for your it and obviously are aware of competition and trends.
Based on the input from sales, research & development and customers, you initiate study and analysis on functional improvements, market/customer evolutions and competitive developments that could be addressed in future versions of your product(s) or that could lead to new products. Thus you maintain a profitable product portfolio.
You work closely with local Sales and Marketing organizations to break down the market strategy to country level. You support ‘’problem solving’’ or relevant operational topics to facilitate execution optimizing Active Selling Time or support them with new product development or deployment. You plan, coordinate and guide the implementation of new product launches or new market launches.
You assure the local sales organization is provided with the tools and information that allows them to appropriately communicate the product value proposition to potential customers. Visiting international fairs and customers is essential to improve tesa’s value proposition.
You will be based in the Amsterdam office, but you will be travelling up to 30% of your time to support the local sales offices in Western Europe and to visit clients and events.
What will you bring to the table?
- Master level in a relevant study (economics, business administration, engineering)
- Extensive marketing and / or sales experience ( >5 years) in an international environment
- Conceptual thinker with strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills are a must
- Flexibility to operate in a multinational company with a matrix organization
- Excellent interpersonal & negotiation skills with the ability to interact effectively throughout various functional groups and hierarchical levels
- High level networking skills in an intercultural environment
- Ambitious, high energy level, with common sense, ‘’get things done’’ mentality
- Willing to travel frequently (up to 30%)
- Fluent in English, other relevant languages (especially German) appreciated
